Automated single-cell cloning of CHO-S cells using animal-component free conditions in nanolitre volumes – Application Note

CHO-S cells are the most commonly used host for industrial production of recombinant proteins. To secure consistent and reliable production processes, it is necessary to derive clonal producer lines. In this application note, we demonstrate how the Cloning Platform can greatly simplify single-cell cloning of CHO-S cells. Single-cell cloning of CHO-S cells on the Cloning Platform requires only nanolitre volumes of medium, utilizes animal-component free growth conditions and provides proof of monoclonality via whole-chamber images.
